The COMET announce new Board of Director officers

On July 26, 2018, the Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority Board of Directors voted in new officers.  Ron Anderson, the Vice President of Administration of Collier International is the new chairman of the board.  John Furgess is the Vice Chair.  Dr. Robert Morris, former educator is the treasurer and Forest Acres’ Finance Director, Andy Smith is the secretary.  Each officer will serve a two-year term as board officers.  Anderson was re-appointed to a three-year term by the City of Columbia.

 

About The COMET

The COMET is a service of the Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority and provides countywide public transit services on 35 fixed routes, two ReFlex services and DART ADA complementary paratransit service throughout Richland and western Lexington Counties. The COMET transports approximately 2.8 million passenger trips a year on a fleet of 81 buses and vans. Transit services are provided under contract with Transdev Service, Inc of Lombard, Illinois.
