Mark Rapp and ColaJazz.com present the Wednesday Night ColaJazz Artists Series

Every Wednesday night beginning September 14, 2016, Main Street Public House will play host to the brand new ColaJazz Artists Series. Rapp says he will be rotating through their roster of bandleaders involved in the ColaJazz movement.
ColaJazz.com’s goal and mission is to grow, elevate and bolster the jazz community in and around Columbia, SC through recordings, events, education and providing an organized resource for all things jazz. “We’re determined to elevate our music scene,” says Rapp.

Owner Jimmy Latulipe is reportedly a huge advocate and supporter of live music and especially jazz. Rapp said, “He is a welcomed breath of energy for our music, social and culinary development in Columbia.” Main Street Public House serves refined casual cuisine 7 days a week. Everything is made in-house, fresh, seasonal and local whenever possible. And important to the musicians and listening audience, the Main Street Public House has a state of the art sound and lighting system.
ColaJazz.com was born from Mark Rapp’s desire to synergize, organize and highlight the wonderfully talented and accomplished jazz artists and educators active in Columbia, SC. With the invaluable help of Paul Paul Bodamer at Jangly Records and an initial round of funding by fans, friends and family, they produced a kind of all-stars recording “ColaJazz vol.I” featuring 13 different groups comprised of 27 different Columbia-area jazz musicians. They even recorded an entire CD by our jazz ambassador Skipp Pearson. And they launched the ColaJazz.com website.
