Entrepreneur Secrets – What would Donald Trump do?
July 25, 2016By Jerry Bellune
No, this isn’t about presidential politics.
It doesn’t matter whether you love or hate the guy.
If you’re in business, you can learn from his tactics.
So put aside your political bias one way or the other.
Here are 3 lessons from a billionaire businessman.
1. Brand yourself and your products and services.
Make them a household name in your market.
That’s what Trump did. His name is everywhere.
On buildings, jets, casinos, even a university.
We won’t go into the university’s legal troubles.
That’s a matter for a court to work out.
But you get the idea. Branding is important to you.
It’s what Coke, Pepsi, Ford and Chevvy do.
Why not you? Well, it does cost money and time.
But you’re not seeking a global brand.
Just one in a recognizable market.
And you can do it creatively and inexpensively.
For more on this, see my personal note to you below.
2. Create strong media and public recognition.
You want prospects to know who you are.
Are you blogging and using other attraction tactics?
You may attract many who aren’t prospects.
OK. Who cares? It’s your prospect who counts.
Trump’s brand campaign uses multiple strategies.
Even in running for office, he used social media.
Facebook and Twitter are free to you, too.
They helped him become a STAR.
What’s that? Someone They Always Remember.
3. Project a powerful image for you and your offers.
Is there anyone who doesn’t know who Trump is?
Love or hate him, he projects a powerful presence.
You may want to attract high dollar prospects.
Think and act like Tiffany and Rolls Royce.
You may want to be seen as cool to young prospects.
Think and act cool like Google, Apple and Amazon.
Whatever you do, don’t think like Walmart.
Never compete with them on price. It’s suicide.
Whatever you do, learn to become a STAR.
