Colliers International sells 120,557 square foot Control Center to Dominion Carolina Gas Transmission

A Colliers International team consisting of Chuck Salley, SIOR, Dave Mathews, SIOR, Sam Myers, and Philip Vann represented the buyer, Dominion Carolina Gas Transmission (DCGT), in the purchase of a former bank Control Center at 121 Moore Hopkins Lane in Columbia, SC for $2.4 million. Henry Roe and Woody Moore, CCIM, of Colliers, represented the seller in the purchase.

DCGT will be relocating from its current operating location in Cayce, SC.

DCGT’s parent, Dominion Resources, is one of the nation’s largest producers and transporters of energy. Dominion Carolina Gas Transmission is an interstate natural gas pipeline company that transports natural gas on behalf of wholesale customers such as power generators, large industrials, local distribution companies municipal gas authorities, and energy marketers. The 1,500-mile pipeline system runs from Southeast Georgie, throughout South Carolina and up to the border of North Carolina. DCGT transports gas for end users in George, South Carolina, and North Carolina.

The 120,557 square foot building is situation on 12.10 acres. The site is conveniently located near the highway allowing easy access to Downtown Columbia. The facility offers a wide array for DCGT, including a control center, storage yard component, fabrication shop, as well as office space.
