David L. M. Brown joins Nelson Mullins in Columbia

COLUMBIA, SC –David L.M. Brown has joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP as an associate in its Columbia office where he will practice with the Business and Distribution Litigation Team.

Mr. Brown joins the Firm from the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania where he served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Kim R. Gibson. He previously served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable G. Edward Welmaker of the 13th Judicial Circuit of South Carolina. A former social studies teacher at a middle school in Anderson, S.C., Mr. Brown also served internships in the Office of Chief Counsel at the Pennsylvania Department of Education, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and for an associate justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

He earned his Juris Doctor from the Dickinson School of Law at Penn State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and History, cum laude, from Clemson University. He is a member of both the South Carolina and Pennsylvania state Bars.
