Scootaway Rolls Out 100 Additional Scooters in Columbia on Thursday, August 20

Company Expects to Have 345 Scooters by Mid-September

COLUMBIA, SC – Scootaway announced today that it is launching the second test phase of its on-demand scooter ride share program.  An additional 100 scooters will be available beginning Thursday, August 20, for a total of 150 scooters that will be rentable from over 50+ designated pick-up/drop-off parking locations around Columbia and USC.  Locations can be found in the map view page of the Scootaway app.  Due to overwhelming positive feedback over the three-month testing period, the firm plans to roll out another 100 scooters no later than September 5, and a total of 350 scooters by mid-September.  According to the company, if there is a demand for more than 350, it will roll out even more in the next few months.

Special .99 Discount for Everyone

From Thursday, August 20, at 9 am through Sunday, August 23, at midnight Scootaway is offering a special discount rate of .99 per half-hour for everyone who rents scooters.  Regular rate is $2.99 per half-hour.
