Veterans Day marks the anniversary of the Armistice that ended the First World War, when all hostilities ceased at 11:00 am on November 11, 1919,” said Events Committee Chairman, Dr. Richard Conant. “Many of the Members of the Club, their family members and friends have first hand knowledge of war and the sacrifices made by our men and woman in uniform. We shouldn’t forget those who have fought and continue to fight to make America and the world a better place,” he continued. “This dinner celebration is designed to do just that and the Midlands community is invited to join us as we honor and salute South Carolina’s veterans.”
