Elliott Davis Adds Shareholder, Richard Battle

GREENVILLE, SC – June 30, 2008 – The Shareholders of Elliott Davis, LLC, one of the largest accounting and business advisory firms in the Southeast, admitted Richard Battle, CPA to the firm’s shareholder group, bringing the total number of Elliott Davis shareholders to 50. Battle is a member of the tax department in Elliott Davis’ Charlotte, N.C. office.

Battle, a certified public accountant in North and South Carolina, brings more than ten years of public accounting experience to his new role at Elliott Davis. Battle’s focus is providing tax planning and compliance services to manufacturing and distribution companies with multi-state and international operations. He also advises clients regarding corporate, partnership and individual income tax return reporting areas, as well as complex issues surrounding mergers and acquisitions, consolidated filings, economic incentives, state and local taxation, inventory capitalization rules, federal and state controversies, tax provisions and other FAS 109 reporting matters.

Battle graduated cum laude from Appalachian University in Boone, N.C. where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants; and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
