Cayce Looking for Volunteers to Serve on Boards and Committees
April 7, 2008CAYCE, SC – April 7, 2008 – The City of Cayce is looking for individuals to serve on several of its boards and commissions. Interested persons must either live in Cayce or work for an organization located in Cayce.
Accommodations Tax Committee – 1 position (must be in the motel industry) Meets as needed on the second Tuesday of the month, at 8 a.m., City Hall Conference Room. The committee makes recommendations to the City Council regarding approving funding requests for events and activities that attract tourism to the city.
Beautification Board – 1 position. Meets the first Wednesday of each month, 5:15 p.m., City Hall Conference Room. This board makes recommendations to the City Council on projects to beautify the city.
Cayce Housing Authority – 1 position. Works with Columbia Housing Authority officials to adapt State and Federal financial aid programs to our area’s housing needs.
Housing Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals – 1 position (must be in the contracting/engineering industry). The board reviews citizen appeals to ensure building ordinances are properly interpreted and implemented fairly.
