Springbrook Autism Behavioral Health brings world-renowned speakers to Greenville, S.C., for second annual Converge Autism Summit – March 1, 2

Springbrook Autism Behavioral Health, an autism-focused behavioral health center in Greenville, S.C., is bringing together world-renowned experts to speak at its second annual summit on topics related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The Converge Autism Summit will be held at The Embassy Suites in downtown Greenville, S.C., on March 1 and 2.

The Converge Autism Summit provides resources and assistance to providers, caregivers, teachers and parents of children, teens and adults with autism. The summit is designed to give attendees the opportunity to meet and discuss educational, psychological, social and therapeutic topics related to ASD.

“We assembled a dream team of national and international speakers, including our resident therapists, who are thought-leaders in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorders,” Mike Rowley, Springbrook administrator, said. “We want to come together to give providers and caregivers the tools they need to help people with autism succeed, as we do every day here at Springbrook Autism Behavioral Health.”

Speakers at the 2018 Converge Autism Summit include:

  • Kerry Magro, a professional speaker, best-selling author, movie consultant and non-profit founder. Kerry was diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS) – a form of autism – at age 4. As an adult, he has conquered many of the challenges he faced as a child and now spends countless hours helping others.
  •  Celine Saulnier, Director of the Clinical Assessment Core for the NIH Autism Center of Excellence Grant at Marcus Autism Center in Atlanta, Ga. Dr. Saulnier is also an author and avid lecturer and educator on Autism Spectrum Disorders, having conducted hundreds of workshops nationally and internationally.
  • Dr. William Killion, PhD, is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at Springbrook Autism Behavioral Health in Travelers Rest. Dr. Killion has more than 40 years of direct experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. He is the author of the Functional Independence Skills Handbook, or F.I.S.H. Developmental Program, a curriculum for ABA used world-wide.
  • Dr. Matthew Fisher, MD is the medical leader of Springbrook Autism Behavioral Health’s Psychiatric Residential and Outpatient Treatment Program, specializing in treating Autism Spectrum Disorders. Dr. Fisher is an authority on minimal medical management of ASD and speaks at autism conferences nationwide on a variety of autism-related topics.
  • Multiple professionals in the fields of Advocacy and Family Therapy, Behavioral Analysis, Occupational Therapy, Special Education and Youth Psychiatry.

The summit will be held at The Embassy Suites by Hilton, 250 Riverplace in Greenville.
