Charleston Animal Society’s Firefighter Calendar unveiled in front of packed house

October 2, 2016

An enthusiastic record setting number of ladies (and gentlemen) came out to witness the debut of Charleston Animal Society’s 2017 Firefighter Calendar.  Sponsored by Kia Country of Charleston, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Anson Restaurant, Lowcountry Plastic Surgery Center and White. The Debut Party was the public’s first chance to buy the most-anticipated lifesaving calendar for 2017. Lucky ticketholders had photos made with calendar models during the VIP Party and their calendars autographed by all 15 models during the official after party at Anson Restaurant.

14 of the area’s hottest firefighters and one from Ocean City, NJ are featured in the calendar, each posing with a rescued animal.  Caitlyn the dog is also appearing as one of the rescue models in the 2017 calendar.

“Every year, this show gets bigger and better. Our firefighters and other performers work tirelessly to deliver an unforgettable evening to debut guests in order to raise the funds necessary to save our community’s at-risk animals. There are no words to describe how proud I am of this year’s firefighters, calendar committee and sponsors for bringing us our best calendar and best debut show ever,” said Caroline Toepperwein, Firefighter Calendar Executive Producer. All proceeds from the party and subsequent calendar sales go to “Toby’s Fund,” Charleston Animal Society’s Medical Fund, which treats injured, abused and abandoned animals.

“We want to thank all of our ticketholders and especially our sponsors and date auction winners for their generosity and for supporting our community’s heroes efforts to save lives,” Toepperwein concluded.
