Shem Creek Bar and Grill celebrates 32 years of serving seafood in the Lowcountry

September 30, 2016

It’s been a little over 32 years since Shem Creek Bar and Grill opened its doors and made a name for themselves as one of Shem Creek’s landmark restaurants. Nestled on the beautiful Shem Creek, Shem Creek Bar and Grill has become a go-to spot for locals and travelers alike, offering fresh seafood and cocktails in a casual atmosphere with unforgettable views of the surrounding water and marshlands.

Shem Creek Bar and Grill is excited to ring in the month of October and celebrate National Seafood Month doing what they do best: offering delicious seafood dishes, homemade desserts, beautiful views and hospitality that can’t be beat. In honor of National Dessert Day on October 14, Shem Creek Bar and Grill will also be donating $1 from every dessert sold throughout the month to Pet Helpers.

It’s easy for long time owner and proprietor, Angie Avinger, to reflect on the past three decades with pride. “We are extremely grateful to the Lowcountry for the overwhelming support over the years,” said Avinger. “We have enjoyed serving the creek since 1984 and hope to continue to serve for many more years to come.”
