MUSC Health Stadium to host annual Oktoberfest

MUSC Health Stadium will host its annual Oktoberfest celebration on Sunday, October 2nd from 12pm – 5pm. The event will feature seasonal beer, live German music, great food, dancing and activities for the whole family. Tickets are $15 for adults, and kids 12 and under are free. The first 500 patrons through the gate will receive a commemorative Oktoberfest mug.

The popular Bavarian Games will also return, where adults team up and compete for the title of Oktoberfest. Events include brut eating contests, keg barrel races, tug-a-war and more. Oktoberfest emcee Richard Todd will be back to judge the competition and crown the champions of the 2016 Oktoberfest.

In addition, the Carolina Panthers vs. Atlanta Falcons game will be streamed live on the stadium’s 3,000 sq. ft. video board during the event.

“Oktoberfest at MUSC Health Stadium has become an annual tradition in the Lowcountry,” said Elaine Fogliano, Oktoberfest event manager with B Sports Entertainment. “This year, we’re adding even more attractions for families and friends to enjoy.”

2016 Oktoberfest activities include:

  • Carolina Panthers vs. Atlanta Falcons viewing party

  • Corn hole

  • Balloon artist

  • Charleston Fun Park putt-putt

  • Giant chess set

  • Soccer Shots activity station

  • Beer pong tables

  • Concessions and German food served by Crave
