Marketing Magic – How you can prod them into action

April 20, 2015

By Jerry Bellune

Recall the last time you had to get something done?

It might have been a proposal for an important client.

Maybe file your annual income tax returns.

Get your children to their ball game on time.

Whatever it was,  a specific deadline helped, didn’t it?

So why don’t we set deadlines on everything?

It would help us get the important stuff done.

The same works for our clients and prospects.

Deadlines prod those who will buy into action.

 .

Here’s today’s No. 1 Marketing Magic sales tip:

Make a note and post it where you will always see it.

Put deadlines in ALL of your offers.

Time limits with specific deadlines pull more orders.

Set no deadline and the response rate plummets.

 .

Here’s Marketing Magic sales tip No. 2:

Add a free gift with every offer.

Make them gifts that appeals to their self-interest.

It will outpull discount offers consistently.

A gift is more appealing than a discount.

Everybody offers discounts with their offers.

Be different. Gifts add greater value to the purchase.

The gift may cost you less than the discount would.

That protects your profit margins.

 .

Here’s Marketing Magic sales tip No. 3:

Longer sales copy pulls better than shorter ones.

Longer copy means you detail more value.

You explain all the benefits the buyer will receive.

You must keep them reading your copy.

Your headlines have two purposes:’

  1. To grab the Ideal Prospect’s attention.
  2. To compel them to read the first sentence.

Each sentence must make them read the next.
