Charleston Man-Of-War Combine Rescheduled For June 2

CHARLESTON, SC – May 15, 2012 – On Saturday, June 2, Charleston Man-of-War will host their first-ever football combine. This combine is inviting all male athletes 18 years and older to participate. The Combine will take place at Stoney Field in Downtown Charleston. Registration is from 8-9:30am followed by the Combine beginning sharply at 10am.

Charleston Man-of-War is the first U.S. international football organization built on community. The purpose of the Combine is to test athletes of the Lowcountry and build the Charleston Man-of-War football team.

With the help of local legendary farmer, Joseph Fields, Charleston Grille Executive Chef, Michelle Weaver, Officer Charles Bruce, Officer Quevas Gamble, and Jared Lott of Piggly Wiggly (Meeting Street), the children of the Shaw Community Center will be running their own concession stand at the Combine to benefit their Center. 2008 SEC Coach of the Year Bobby Johnson, NFL Hall of Famer Joe Delameilleure, and staff will evaluate the talent at the Combine, and invite the best to come back and tryout for the actual team.
