January 23, 2012CAYCE, SC – January 20, 2012 – SCANA Corp. and its subsidiaries,including SCE&G, paid more than $150 million in property taxes inSouth Carolina in 2011.
The largest single tax payment was made to Lexington County in theamount of approximately $28.7 million. Other significant paymentsincluded:
Aiken County $8.4 million
Allendale County $1.2 million
Bamberg County $1.1 million
Barnwell County $1.5 million
Beaufort County $4.1 million
Berkeley County $6.2 million
Charleston County $12.3 million
Colleton County $5.1 million
Dorchester County $4.2 million
Edgefield County $1.1 million
Fairfield County $23 million
Hampton County $2.1 million
Jasper County $6.6 million
Orangeburg County $11 million
Richland County $26.4 million
