Callison Tighe listed in 2016 edition of Best Law Firms in America

COLUMBIA, SC – Callison Tighe & Robinson again ranked among the top firms in two practice areas of real estate law and two areas in employment law in the latest edition of Best Law Firms in America.
The firm earned Tier 1 recognition for the Columbia market in the practice areas of employment law – individuals; litigation – labor and employment law; real estate law; and litigation – real estate. The 2016 edition of Best Law Firms in America, a joint publication of U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers in America, was released today.
Callison Tighe also was recognized for work in bankruptcy, mediation, employment law-management, and creditor debtor rights/insolvency and reorganization law, the first time the firm has been recognized in that practice area.
Callison Tighe has been highlighted every year in Best Law Firms in America, dating back to the inaugural edition in 2010.

In order to be eligible for Best Law Firms, a firm had to have at least one attorney rated highly in Best Lawyers. Eight Callison Tighe attorneys – Tighe, Ralph C. Robinson Jr., Louis Lang, Nekki Shutt, Andrew English, III, M. Malissa Burnette, Sherwood M. “Woody” Cleveland, and James S. Meggs – are included in the 2016 edition of that publication.
From there, surveys are sent to lawyers in the same practice areas and firms in the same metropolitan area. The questionnaires also ask if the firm should be recommended based on its work. The data, along with client input, are analyzed to determine final rankings. Around 11,000 law firms are evaluated each year.
