Marti Bluestein to participate in Diversity Leaders Initiative

February 16, 2017

This spring, Margaret “Marti” Miles Bluestein will participate in the Diversity Leaders Initiative, a program of the Riley Institute at Furman.

A founding partner of Bluestein, Nichols, Thompson and Delgado, LLC, Bluestein will be one of 44 community leaders participating in the program’s Midlands class.

The DLI program trains participants to understand their diversity and inclusion “blind spots” and how to suspend assumptions. They come away with focused decision-making skills and deep knowledge of how to effectively manage and lead increasingly diverse workers, clients and constituents.

Riley Fellows meet for multiple classes over five months in a format driven by timely, relevant case studies and other experiential learning tools designed to maximize interactions and productive relationships among program participants. They also work in cross-sector teams to respond to real issues and opportunities in their respective communities through Capstone Service projects.
