RealOp Investments owned properties first to receive technology infrastructure award in South Carolina

Three RealOp Investment properties in South Carolina are becoming the first in the state to garner Wired Certification for superior internet connectivity.
The properties include the Bank of America building located at 101 North Main Street in Greenville; the Asset Point Building at 1001 Keys Drive in Greenville; and the Tower at 1301 Gervais Street in Columbia. The RealOp Investments-owned properties join the more than 1,500 Wired Certified buildings worldwide that offer top-notch tech capabilities.

The designations were assigned upon review of the buildings’ best-in-class connectivity, technological infrastructure and readiness to adopt to emerging technologies, according to WiredScore, the group behind the Wired Certification.

In pursuing Wired Certification, the three properties underwent a comprehensive certification process that evaluated the aspects of digital infrastructure that support resilient, reliable internet connectivity for businesses. Upon review of the buildings’ internet service providers available to tenants, infrastructure redundancy, connection access points, and readiness to meet future tenant needs, a Wired Certification level is assigned based on the official standards developed by WiredScore and its connectivity advisory board with representatives from Google Fiber, Rudin Management, Arup, WSP / Parsons Brinckerhoff, and Zayo Group.
The certifications were given based on the buildings’ ability to provide tenants with features of connectivity that matter most including capacity to support future equipment installation and multiple internet service providers offering high speed fiber connectivity, which provides tenants with flexibility when selecting internet service.
Encompassing more than 560,000 rentable square feet, these properties offer a range of amenities to tenants including generous floorplates, proximity to major transit corridors, conferencing centers and access to nearby dining and fitness options.
