Stevens & Wilkinson structural engineer named one of The State’s Top 20 Under 40

Stevens & Wilkinson, a full-service architecture, engineering and interior design firm, announced today David McNeice, associate structural engineer, was named Top 20 Under 40 by The State newspaper.
The State’s 20 Under 40 program honors 20 people under the age of 40 who are making a difference in their communities. Throughout the years, The State has recognized 280 people from varying professions and walks of life. This year’s winners were chosen from a large collection of nominations. A panel of judges reviewed each nominee, looking for those with strong ties to the community and a willingness to go the extra mile in all they do.
“David deserves to be selected for this prestigious award,” said Keith Branham, P.E., LEED AP, principal and director of engineering of Stevens & Wilkinson’s South Carolina office. “Overseeing the engineering aspects of projects in nearly every sector of our industry has made him a great asset to our firm since day one. We are thrilled to see David recognized by the Columbia community for his outstanding accomplishments.”
A native of Columbia, S.C., McNeice has worked in nearly every sector of the industry, including the commercial, industrial, judicial, K-12, and higher education markets. Additionally, he is actively involved in his community, including Habitat for Humanity, coaching youth sports, volunteering with Spring Valley Presbyterian Church and serving in the South Carolina State Guard (SCSG) Engineering Detachment’s Ready Reserve, where he provides professional engineering support to state and local government agencies and civil relief organizations. He earned his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering and his Master of Science in civil and structural engineering from the University of South Carolina.
