Two Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd shareholders named 2018 Leadership in Law Honorees

Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd congratulates two of its shareholders on being named to South Carolina Lawyers Weekly’s 2018 Leadership in Law Honoree list. John Tiller and Jay Matthews are among 30 attorneys from across the state to be recognized. Nominated by their peers and selected by South Carolina Lawyers Weekly, Leadership in Law honorees have achieved success in their practice and have made a positive impact on the legal community as well as the community at large.

As a deeply experienced and widely respected trial lawyer and mediator, John Tiller leads Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd’s Insurance Defense Practice Group. He focuses his practice primarily on products liability, premises liability and personal injury actions, including complex matters involving numerous plaintiffs. John was inducted into the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals in 2016. He received his B.S. from the College of Charleston and his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina.

Jay Matthews leads the Firm’s Construction Practice Group. He has a strong background in cases involving the construction, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries. Jay helps clients in litigation involving contract disputes, business torts, fiduciary law and shareholder claims. Jay received his B.M.E. from Georgia Institute of Technology and his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida.
