Columbia Metropolitan Airport celebrates international yoga day with successful event

June 24, 2019

125 participants found their zen at a very successful event celebrating International Yoga Day on Friday, June 21st hosted by Columbia Metropolitan Airport.

“We’re thrilled that our first yoga event enjoyed such an overwhelming response,” said CAE Director of Marketing and Air Service Development, Kim Jamieson. “We are always excited for the opportunity to say thank you to the community for supporting CAE and this was a fun and unique event to do just that.”

With travel often being stressful, this event celebrated the importance of self-care through various yoga practices and included lessons in stress-relieving poses individuals can do on a flight.

Five 45-minute classes, made up of 25 participants each, were offered near the departure gates overlooking the airfield. Classes were offered on the hour starting at 10 a.m. with the last class starting at 2 p.m.
