Charleston Metro Chamber’s Erin Aylor named Forty Under 40 by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives

July 16, 2019

Erin Aylor, Vice President of Marketing at the Charleston Metro Chamber, has been awarded Forty Under 40 by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE).

ACCE’s Forty Under 40 award is a new honor meant to highlight the brightest men and women under the age of 40 in the chamber industry. It recognizes young professionals that have demonstrated significant success in their career as well as having made noteworthy contributions to their community. Each award recipient has made a remarkable impact on the chamber industry, fostering a positive impact in their community.

This year’s competition drew over 118 nominations on behalf of young professionals in the chamber industry. Candidates for this honor demonstrated meaningful involvement in the advancement of their community and proven professional success within their chamber. Many of Erin’s greatest business accomplishments fall within her involvement in making a difference in the community and people’s lives.

“We are very proud of Erin and celebrate this well-deserved recognition,” said Ken Brady, Chief Marketing Officer for the Charleston Metro Chamber. “Her hard work and dedication to advancing the Chamber’s mission show daily, and the commitment she has to her work is admirable.”

Aylor led an effort to establish a Regional College and Career Guide that is now being used by four of the major school districts in the Charleston region. She was integral to the success of the Chamber’s inaugural Build A Shed program, which involved seven high schools and a number of top construction businesses, giving participants first-hand experience with the challenges and opportunities of the construction industry.

She also led the development of the Chamber’s Quarterly Report publication, which received the Communications Excellence Grand Award from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.

“I am proud to be a member of the Chamber team and grateful to have the opportunity to make an impact in my community,” said Aylor. “I am incredibly humbled to be chosen as one of this year’s Forty Under 40 honorees and look forward to expanding the ways our Chamber serves the Charleston region.”

The full Forty Under 40 class was announced publicly at the ACCE Annual Convention in Long Beach, California. Following the convention, award recipients will be featured in the summer 2019 Chamber Executive magazine issue set to release in August.
