Colonial Life names new vice president of claims, contact center and account services

Charlene Glidden has been named vice president of claims, contact center and account services at Colonial Life.

In this role, she is responsible for premium and billing, account and policyholder administration, policyholder contact center, claims operations and support services. In addition, she oversees customer experience for millions of Colonial Life clients and policyholders.

She joined Colonial Life in 2016 after a 20-year career with Unum serving in information technology, shared services and business leadership roles at the company’s Portland, Maine, and Chattanooga, Tennessee, locations. Glidden previously served as vice president, Planning, Strategy and Transformation at Colonial Life.

In the community, Glidden serves as the vice chair and head of the development committee on the board of Transitions Homeless Center in Columbia, S.C., dedicated to empowering the homeless to transition into self-reliance.

Glidden holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Boston University.
