USO South Carolina to offer daily virtual story time events for military children during COVID-19 outbreak

March 16, 2020

USO South Carolina is hosting social-distance safe virtual events daily for military children affected by school closures during the COVID-19 Outbreak

The USO South Carolina will be offering a virtual story time for military children at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m daily beginning March 17. These virtual events can be streamed live from the USO South Carolina Facebook page www.facebook.com/USOSouthCarolina. Each event will feature a different book to keep military children engaged in learning while schools are closed.

One of the most crucial services the USO provides for the military community is the programs and activities at USO centers that keep our service members, military spouses and children connected to each other and to home, when they are so far away.

About the USO

The USO strengthens America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation. At hundreds of locations worldwide, we are united in our commitment to connect our service members and their families through countless acts of caring, comfort, and support. The USO is a private, nonprofit organization, not a government agency. Our programs, services and entertainment tours are made possible by the American people, support of our corporate partners, and the dedication of our volunteers and staff.
