Kiawah River announces new Broker in Charge
October 16, 2020Kiawah River, a new waterfront community near Charleston, announced Chris Drury as the new broker in charge of residential real estate sales. Drury previously served as president and broker in charge of Kiawah Island Real Estate (KIRE), where he oversaw the closings of more than $3.6 billion in sales across 2,765 luxury real estate transactions during his tenure.
With more than 40 years of industry experience predominantly in master-planned residential and resort communities, Drury will be responsible for leading Kiawah River’s dedicated sales team, which represents all real estate interests in the community.

During his 14 years with KIRE, Drury led the sales team to unprecedented success in residential sales and market growth, having closed on more Kiawah Island properties in 2018 than in any year prior. Following Drury’s tenure, KIRE’s market share exceeded 85%.
Prior to working with KIRE, Drury was the vice president of sales at the St. Joe Company, a Florida-based real estate developer and asset manager focused on thoughtfully planned destinations, for 17 years. Drury led sales teams in various communities throughout Florida including Weston, a master planned suburban community in Broward County, where he sold over 1,700 homes within one year. As vice president of sales, he also oversaw the Saussy Burbank Mid-Atlantic division where he predominantly sold spec homes and developer lots in the Carolinas.
