Richland Library celebrates graduation of 14 students from Career Online High School

May 19, 2021

There are 14 Richland County residents between the ages of 25 and 49 who are moving their tassels from right to left and celebrating an academic achievement.

On Sunday, May 16, Richland Library held a socially-distanced Career Online High School graduation outside our Southeast location (7421 Garners Ferry Road). Our staff was able to recognize each individual’s hard work through staggered invitations.

We want to congratulate the following graduates who earned their high school diplomas:

Brianna Adkins
Chelsea Alvarado
Terrico Charles
Latara Foxworth
Roberto Garcia
Crystal Graham
Bridgette Harrison
Tahon Lindsey
Willie (W.D.) Parson
Jesshanta Potter

Dee Dee Scott
Shashatarayne Shaw
Briana Walker

Each graduate also received a career certificate in one of nine high-growth, high-demand career fields, such as Child Care and Education, General Career Prep, Office Management, Home Care Professional, and Security Professional.

This is the third graduating class, bringing the total to 33 students who have completed the program, since Richland Library began offering Career Online High School back in 2018. We have around 30 students who are currently enrolled, more than 100 interested candidates who have completed the pre-requisite course and almost 1,250 people who have taken the self-assessment.
