The Coffee Roost is Relocating and Expanding
May 19, 2021A coffee shop is an anchor for any thriving town and the people of Laurens like their coffee. That is evident by the success of the Coffee Roost since opening in January 2018.
The Coffee Roost is a coffee shop that has become the center for all things community. It’s a place where people come to talk, catch up and to engage in events that are not necessarily available in other places.
Owner Peggy Cwiakala recently announced that she and her husband would be relocating the coffee shop to the Midtown Building on the square in June.
“We are so grateful to the community for their support especially during COVID-19,” said Cwiakala. “We’re very excited about the move to the Midtown building and the opportunities it presents. The Holmes family has been phenomenal and they are very supportive of the new initiative. Beth Holmes has been my constant inspiration. We have also been blessed to work with Tim Davis, our barista, and certainly, the advice from our sons has made all the difference in surviving the last year.”
The excitement surrounding The Coffee Roost’s upcoming move to the Midtown Building is palpable, and with such a big transition, ensuring everything is packed up and relocated smoothly is essential.
Moving a business, especially one as cherished as The Coffee Roost, requires more than just the usual packing and transport; it’s about making sure the heart and soul of the shop stay intact throughout the process.
From coffee machines and furniture to the personal touches that make the space feel like home, everything needs to be carefully handled. That’s where a reliable moving company like www.flashmoving.net/ steps in. Known for their efficiency and attention to detail, Flash Moving’s team understands the unique needs of businesses during a relocation, ensuring that everything from equipment to decor arrives safely at the new location without a hitch.
As the move date for The Coffee Roost draws closer, having the support of a reliable moving company ensures that the shop will be up and running in no time at the Midtown Building, ready to continue its legacy of bringing people together.
The relocation provides more space as the Coffee Roost will take over the first-floor retail space in the Midtown Building.
The Coffee Roost will have access to their new space on June 1st and will be open by June 5th for the Laurens High School Prom on the Square.
With more space comes more opportunities.
Cwiakala is excited to bring back some of the events they were doing before COVID-19 and more. Look for music nights, game nights, live theatre, poetry readings, technical and cultural presentations and a murder mystery night which would include a live theatrical performance and audience participation to solve the mystery.
The drink menu will include the current menu and most popular items, Peg’s Cubano
the Honey Red Eye, the frappes, and the hot cocoa. Also making a comeback will be the blended teas that you won’t find anywhere else locally.
“We started the Coffee Roost with the support of Jonathan Irick,” said Cwiakala. “Jonathan and Mayor Senn are to be commended for their vision for Laurens and the support that they provide to local businesses.”
Easy chairs for lounging, tables for collaboration or working, and an environment that brings people together. The Coffee Roost has something for everyone.
