Rising Sophomores at Clinton High participate in Summer Scholars Program

Last week, 29 rising sophomores participated in Summer Scholars at CHS as part of GEAR UP. During the week, the students worked on their college essays, dug into SAT grammar, organized all things Google, and were introduced to new apps for projects and reports.

GEAR-UP hosted presentations from PC, Piedmont Tech, Lander and Winthrop. In the afternoon, 12 students opted to stay for Robotics Camp. The six teams designed and built their robots for the final day’s competition. Lindsey Pysell and Vince Lackey were awarded the grand prizes.

The event was spearheaded by Ms. Bevery Arbouw.
