American Legion Announces New Fundraiser to Support Local Christmas Program

Who doesn’t want a weekend getaway?

Thanks to American Legion Lake Garrett Post 25 you now have the chance to spend a weekend at the Inn at Biltmore Hotel in North Carolina for pennies on the dollar. The American Legion post is known in Laurens County for their work to raise money to make Christmas happen for children in need.

This year they are adding a new fundraiser. The group is selling raffle tickets for $5 and your chance to win a weekend getaway to the Inn at Biltmore on December 3-5 including the breakfast package.

“We are excited to offer this great weekend getaway as a new fundraiser,” said Kevin Farnsworth First Vice Commander. “We remain committed to children of Laurens County and this fundraiser will help us provide some Christmas joy to children in need.”

All proceeds from the raffle go toward the Christmas programs for Laurens County,

How do you buy raffle tickets?

Members of the Post are at the Laurens County courthouse Square every Friday evening selling tickets.  You can also go to their Facebook page Lake Garrett post 25 to purchase tickets.

The winner will be determined at a drawing on November 27^th and announced on their Facebook page.

American Legion Lake Garrett Post 25 is known for raising money to support the children of Laurens County. Last year they raised $12,000 for local children and programs.
