New Business in Laurens County Takes the Stress Out of Gift Giving

The new Laurens County business creates unique, one-of-a-kind gifts for any occasion. Basket Case allows the gift giver to do “one stop” shopping over the phone. Gift givers answer a few questions about the recipient and then the creative team at Basket Case get to work creating a customized gift that fits the recipient and the occasion.

“Our goal is to deliver the most memorable gifts possible,” said owner Beth McKinney Striano. “We’re also trying to source made in the USA products.”

Basket Case operates out of the Striano’s farmhouse located in Clinton.  Basket Case delivers gifts throughout the Laurens County area, as well as shipping outside of the county.

Basket case is a family affair. Striano’s husband Steve; daughter Zoey; mother Betsy; and Aunt Susie collaborate on gift designs and help with delivery.

So how does it work?

You need a gift for someone and give them a call.  After a short conversation to learn about the recipient, Beth and her team design an unforgettable gift basket which might actually be a gift cooler, box, bag, or flowerpot. Forms of payment accepted include check, cash and Venmo.

Basket Case gives shoppers peace of mind. No more racking your brain for the perfect gift or roaming around the mall trying to get ideas. You can avoid the stress and the crowds and “wow” your special someone with a gift created specifically for them.

Basket Case does provide same day or next day delivery but encourages customers to give ample lead time. “We often order specific items whose arrival can be unpredictable,” said Striano.

Gift baskets start at $35.00 with free delivery in Lauren’s County.  Special group rates are available for group orders (office staff, teachers, nurses, etc).

Basket Case will be set up at an Open House at CrossFit864 on Thursday, October 28th from 6-8 pm. They will have some Halloween, Fall, and Christmas baskets available for purchase, and will be taking orders.
