Cormac Cannon, Director of Bands, University of South Carolina
Cormac Cannon is Director of Bands and Associate Professor of Music at the University of South Carolina (UofSC). He conducts the University of South Carolina Wind Ensemble, guides the graduate wind conducting program, and oversees all aspects of the band program.
UofSC’s Carolina Band, “The Mighty Sound of the Southeast,” is celebrating its 100th anniversary. The band is kicking off its centennial campaign by establishing an endowment. The aim is to help finance buying new instruments, traveling to such exhibitions, and improving facilities.
