Clinton High School Girls Tennis Team Takes 2022 Region IV AAA Title
October 12, 2022The Clinton High School Girls Tennis Team is the 2022 Region IV AAA Champions after completing the season with a perfect in-conference record.
The team, led by Coach Clovis Simmons, has endured a few injuries this year, including a knee injury that left Kimora Wesley sidelined for the entire season, a shoulder injury that kept Carley MacMillan out for a large part of the season, and a thumb injury that impacted the team’s number two singles player, Chandler Dailey.
Overall, the team played very well, even against out of conference competition and during the annual tournament, the Hall of Fame Classic. The girls, including MC Dailey, Chandler Dailey, Gracie Spangler, Libby Dailey, Carley MacMillan, Becca King, Peyton Nabors, Natalie Meade, Deborah Goldman, and Kimora Wesley, will compete in one more regular season out of conference match on Wednesday, then they will begin the playoffs on October 20th.
Congratulations to the entire team and Coach Simmons. Go Big Red!
