The Lumberyard in Clinton Set for Soft Opening Next Week
March 15, 2023They say good things are worth the wait and the wait for The Lumberyard in Clinton to open is almost over.
Owners Charlie and Stacey Michaels look forward to opening The Lumberyard after a longer than anticipated buildout that included supplier and product delays.
“Things are really coming together, and we are very pleased with the design and our ability to preserve so much of the original character of the building,” said Stacey Michaels.
Behind the bar patrons will see many repurposed materials. The door hanging above the taps is the original front door, the white wood is from the downstairs ceiling, the brown wood is from the ceiling upstairs, and the windows were product left in the building.
The Lumberyard will have 12 beers on tap to start and serve a wide selection of wine including some local wines and then featured wines. The smaller room off the main area will be available for reservation and wine tastings can be scheduled for the room.
Plans for an outdoor stage and seating are in the works so look for special events and live music in the near future.
The occupancy permit has been approved, so the final step is the beer and liquor license which is expected to be approved this week. As soon as they have their license, product can be ordered.
The plan right now is to have a soft opening on Saturday, March 25. Stay connected to the Buzz for confirmation of their opening day. The Grand opening is scheduled for Saturday April 15 and the event will include a line up of food trucks, live music, face painting, and more.
Hours of operation will be:
- Monday – Tuesday: Closed
- Wednesday – Thursday: 4–9 pm
- Friday: 4-10 pm
- Saturday: 12–10 pm
- Sunday: Closed
The Lumberyard is located at 115 Gary Street in Clinton, SC in the old Tribble building.
