Clinton Family YMCA Fueling Station Expansion

What started with a focus on providing nutritional snacks for school age children that come to the YMCA and may need a healthy snack after school has now expanded to a full fueling station.
The program was originally funded by a grant that was awarded because of the efforts of Lacresha Dowdy with the City of Clinton.
The fueling station is located in the lobby of the Clinton Family YMCA and now includes fresh eggs, produce and pantry staples. Lush Acres and other local farmers have donated strawberries, zucchini, and squash, and more. Others have donated eggs and produce from their gardens.
There are no qualifications to meet. If your pantry is low and you need food, stop by to pick up some staples. Donations are accepted during YMCA open hours.
“Clinton is a generous and caring community and the fueling station is evidence of this,” said Harold Nichols, Executive Director. “We are glad to be a part of the effort to fight food insecurity.”
The Clinton YMCA (100 YMCA Drive, Clinton SC) is open Monday thru Friday 5:00 am – 8:00 pm, and Saturday 7:00 am – 5:00 pm.
