Hand Middle School Principal Dr. Patrice Green has been selected for the South Carolina Leadership Executive Institute (SLEI).

Hand Middle School Principal Dr. Patrice Green has been selected for the South Carolina School Leadership Executive Institute (SLEI). The program was created in partnership with the South Carolina Department of Education’s Office of Educator Effectiveness and Leadership Development (OEELD) and Truist Leadership Institute. SLEI is a seven-month program designed to equip principals from the across the state with insight, knowledge and competencies necessary to lead innovative and successful schools.

Twenty-two principals from across South Carolina were chosen for SLEI’s Cohort 51. In order to successfully complete the program, participants must “choose among multiple instructional and equity tools to identify an area in their school in which they want to improve and collect data.” They must also “collect feedback from staff using a school culture survey to reflect on working conditions, and staff, student, and community relations.”

“It is my hope that upon completion of the institute that I build a network with other educators to more effectively lead and serve as a public school educator. I am honored and humbled to be chosen for this opportunity as a Richland One principal,” said Dr. Green.
