Dorchester County launches Reassessment Roadshow

Dorchester County is excited to announce the Reassessment Roadshow, a series of drop-in events designed to provide residents with important information about the reassessment process and its impact on property taxes. The Roadshow will be held at various locations throughout Dorchester County from July 1 to July 17, 2024.

Residents will have the opportunity to engage with experts, ask questions, understand the reassessment timeline, and learn how property values are determined. The events are scheduled at County libraries, parks, and Council Chambers to ensure accessibility for all community members.

Event Schedule:

• County Libraries 

  • North Charleston Library Branch: July 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, & 17, 10 AM – 3 PM
  • St. George Library Branch: July 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, & 17, 10 AM – 4 PM
  • Summerville Library Branch: July 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, & 17, 10 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Library on the Ashley River Branch: July 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, & 17, 10 AM – 3:30 PM

• County Parks:

  • Ashley River Park at the Palmetto Shelter: July 6, 10 AM – 4 PM
  • Davis Bailey Park at the Pavilion: July 13, 10 AM – 4 PM

• County Chambers:

  • St. George Council Chambers: July 2, 6 PM – 8 PM; July 9, 10 AM – 12 PM
  • Summerville Council Chambers: July 11, 10 AM – 12 PM; July 16, 6 PM – 8 PM
