COMET to host community meet and greet events with CEO, Maurice Pearl

The Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority (The COMET) will host a series of community meetings with their new Executive Director/CEO, Maurice Pearl in partnership with the Richland Library during the months of August and September.

“I’m very excited to have this opportunity to personally connect with the local community here in the Midlands,” said Pearl. “We are embarking on an amazing time at The COMET and I’m looking forward to sharing what’s being planned to move us onward and upward.”

  • Thursday, September 19    5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.   Richland Library St. Andrews
  • Thursday, September 26   5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.   Richland Library Southeast

Highlights of the event include an introduction to Pearl, his background and career, his favorite things about the Midlands, and his vision for moving The COMET into the future. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session with the attendees.

Maurice Pearl brings more than 20 years of public transit experience with a strong operational background highlighting safety and labor relations. He holds Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Science-Political Science degrees from the University of Southern Indiana.
