Second annual Upstate Educational fair will take place on September 25, 2024

With back to school on everyone’s mind, organizers of this year’s Upstate Education Preview Event are excited to announce a new date, name, and format for this year’s event.
Upstate Education Preview is the biggest educational fair in the Upstate for K-12 grades. This FREE event will take place at Hyatt Regency Greenville on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024, between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm. And this year’s focus and mission is inclusivity.
Previously called Boarding School Connect, the new event is set to be even bigger and better than before. The new format will see over 50 schools attending. It has been designed to be more inclusive and showcase a variety of school options, including both day schools and boarding schools available to Upstate families.
“We are excited to host a dynamic gathering of educational institutions, spanning a broad spectrum to cater to diverse educational preferences,” stated Bowdre Fortson Clayton, Founder of the Educational Fair. “With representation from over 50 schools and programs, including public and private entities, day and boarding schools, and compelling gap year opportunities, our aim is to provide families with a comprehensive platform to explore and evaluate educational pathways”.
Lead organizer, Bowdre Fortson Clayton, who is also the Founder of Bowdre Educational Consulting, knows only too well that one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to education and individual learning.
The fair aims to cater to the needs of families across the Upstate region, including Spartanburg, Anderson, Greer, Simpsonville, and surrounding areas.
The event will also feature informational sessions and opportunities for one-on-one discussions with representatives from participating institutions including Spartanburg Day School in Spartanburg, SC, Christchurch in Topping, Virginia, Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN, Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, MA, St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Anderson, SC, St. Andrew’s School in Boca Raton, FL, Stoneleigh-Burnham School in Greenfield, MA and Stony Brook School in Stony Brook, NY.
To reinforce their inclusive commitment, organizers have also partnered with KIND of the Upstate where a portion of the funds will go to KIND, as their non-profit partner.
