Introducing The Marie Method Beauty Bar: Clinton’s New Esthetics Spa
August 14, 2024This week, Clinton will welcome a new esthetics spa as Susanna Frazier opens The Marie Method Beauty Bar on August 15th. Located at 400 Plaza Circle, Suite G2, this new venture is set to offer specialized esthetics services to the community. Susanna’s love for helping people feel confident in their skin inspired her to create a spa focused on esthetics.
Background and Inspiration
Susanna’s journey into esthetics began during her years as a competitive dancer. “Makeup and spray tans were a must for us in the dance industry,” she recalls. “I was more excited to do other dancers’ makeup than to go on stage.”
This early experience with enhancing natural beauty led Susanna to pursue esthetics professionally. “I love to make people feel confident in their own skin,” she explains. “Clinton didn’t have a spa that specialized solely in esthetics, and that’s where I saw an opportunity to make a difference.”
About the Spa
The Marie Method Beauty Bar will provide a variety of services, including facials, advanced facial techniques like microdermabrasion and chemical peels, eyebrow lamination, tint, eyelash lift, and waxing. Susanna also plans to introduce spray tanning, micro-channeling, radiofrequency skin tightening, and dermaplaning soon.
“What sets The Marie Method Beauty Bar apart is that I don’t step into the treatment room ready to completely transform someone,” Susanna explains. “Instead, my goal is to enhance the client’s natural features and help them feel comfortable and confident with themselves. I will also choose more natural and holistic products, offering less harsh treatments with great results.”
Hours of Operation
The Marie Method Beauty Bar will be open Tuesday through Thursday from 9 am to 7 pm, with extended hours on specified Saturdays from 11 am to 8 pm. Dates for Saturday hours will be posted in advance.
Vision and Goals
Looking ahead, Susanna envisions The Marie Method Beauty Bar expanding and adding more estheticians. “I would love to have a Himalayan salt room and an infrared bed,” she says. “I also plan to expand my education by becoming a master esthetician and return to school for advanced aesthetics.”
To keep up with industry trends, Susanna learns from seasoned estheticians and ongoing education. “I am always studying new topics of discussion and research in the esthetics industry and devote time to taking continuing education classes,” she shares.
Challenges and Preparation
Setting up the spa has had its challenges, including renovations and location changes. “The biggest challenge for me was not being too hard on myself in the process of figuring everything out,” she reflects. “Now, I am excited to be opening exactly one month after my 20th birthday.”
Susanna is focused on building trusting relationships with her clients. “I want my clients to feel comfortable and know they can be honest with me, feedback is a gift and will help to shape how we provide services going forward,” she states.
Community Engagement
Susanna believes in the power of small businesses and supporting the community. “I also work at The Vestibule coffee shop in Clinton, which has allowed me to communicate and interact with our community every week,” she notes. Susanna plans to host events at the spa to benefit the county and engage with local social media groups.
The Marie Method Beauty Bar’s grand opening on August 15th will be a community event featuring catering from The Vestibule Coffee and Tea and Palmetto Meat Company. “Drop-ins are welcome, but the first 25 will receive a special gift,” Susanna announces. The community is invited to the open house beginning at 5;30 pm.
As The Marie Method Beauty Bar opens its doors, Susanna Frazier is ready to make a positive impact on Clinton’s beauty scene, focusing on enhancing natural beauty and fostering community connections.
