Montessori School holds grand opening in Cayce

August 16, 2024

Cayce Mayor Elise Partin has announced the opening of Cayce Montessori School at 1000 Poplar Street. The official grand opening celebration was held Thursday, August 15.

“I have known these wonderful educators for many years,” said Partin. “The residents of Cayce are so fortunate to have this school here in our community.”

Vijayashree Saravanan is the operator of the school and has been an educator for several decades. She is certified by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE). “We are committed to providing authentic Montessori education to the Cayce community and preparing the whole child to interact with the world,” said Saravanan.

When asked about a potential location in Cayce, Partin was able to connect Saravanan to Pastor Gregory Glenn at Mt. Zion Church Cayce which is now providing space for the school.

“We are extremely excited about our partnership with Cayce Montessori School, said Mt. Zion Lead Pastor Glenn. “Access to educational opportunities as early in life as possible is important to helping succeeding generations get on track to successful careers.”

Cayce Montessori School has capacity for 60 children and is still taking applications. Call to schedule a tour: (803) 766-4414.
