City of Columbia announcing a proposed increase in parking rates

The City of Columbia is announcing a proposed increase in parking rates in order to reinvest revenue into the parking system and enhance the customer experience.
The City will focus on infrastructure, maintenance, and repairs that are crucial to the overall quality and utilization of the parking decks throughout the system. Investments will also be made in operations, systems, innovation and aesthetics.
A number of projects will take place immediately, with others projected over the next few years.
A public hearing and 1st reading regarding the proposed increase will be taking place on October 15, 2024, during the City Council meeting to be held at City Hall at 4:00pm.
