Clinton Canopy to Host Second Annual Daffodils for Remembrance Event

November 6, 2024

This Saturday, Clinton Canopy will host its Second Annual “Daffodils for Remembrance” to bring community members together in planting daffodil bulbs at Vance Park to honor loved ones. The event will begin at 10 a.m. on November 9 and offers a unique way for individuals and families to create a lasting tribute through nature.

The Daffodils for Remembrance project, initiated by Clinton Canopy, serves as a beautiful memorial, with the daffodils symbolizing renewal and hope. Each year, the event provides free daffodil bulbs to participants, making it accessible to all who wish to take part in this meaningful tradition. This year, 600 bulbs, funded by a Community Assistance Grant, will be available for planting. Clinton Canopy will also have additional bulbs for purchase on-site.

These bulbs, once planted, will bloom each spring, offering a vivid, lasting reminder of loved ones throughout the community.

Those interested can sign up online to receive a free set of bulbs in memory of a loved one. The names of those honored will be listed on Clinton Canopy’s webpage, and each year, the daffodils will bloom as a tribute.

Participants are encouraged to bring gloves and a small trowel if possible. Clinton Canopy hopes to see community members of all ages join in this touching event, creating a shared space of beauty and remembrance that will blossom for years to come.
