A new partnership in the heart of Summerville highlights Summerville historical figures

May 10, 2017

The Flowertown Players and the Summerville-Dorchester Museum team up for a one–of-a-kind event in the heart of Summerville. Historical characters come to life in the charming, Linwood Inn as patrons savor food and beer from Homegrown Brewhouse and wine from Accents on Wine.

While local philanthropist and business woman, Kitty Springs (played by Myra Jones) gives life advice to a young client in the living room, Charleston Tea Plantation founder, Charles Shepard (played by Robert Venne) teaches and prepares tea for patrons during this interactive theatre experience. Renown actors from across the Lowcountry; Kyle Downs (recently seen in Flowertown’s Suicide Incorporated), Kelvin Curtis (recently starred in docudrama, John Lauren’s War, winner of a Gold Remi at the 50th Worldfest Film Fest in Hoston), Susan Lovell (recently seen in Footlight Players’ Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean), Myra Jones (also seen in the award-winning docudrama, John Lauren’s War) , and Deshawn Mason (local stand-up comedian and actor) to name a few, join Flowertown Players in bringing post-civil war era Summerville to our front door.

Enjoy this lively party with us by participating in our silent and live auctions throughout the evening. Divulge in all the unique and exciting packages like a trip through the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky or a Broadway show in New York City, all benefiting both non-profit organizations. Mark your calendars and make history with us in Flowertown Players and The Summerville-Dorchester Museum’s first collaboration.
