June 16, 2014

GREENVILLE, SC — The American Advertising Federation of Greenville (AAF Greenville) outgoing President Whitney Hanna, incoming President Julia Boisvert and incoming President-Elect Allyson Seitzer traveled to Boca Raton, Fla., to accept awards at the American Advertising Federation (AAF)’s annual national conference, ADMERICA!. AAF Greenville won 2014 National Club of the Year for Division IV, and President Whitney Hanna won 2014 President of the Year for Division IV.

Each year, the AAF honors top clubs in eight categories: advertising education, communications, diversity, government relations, club operations, membership, programs and public service. Additionally, a Club of the Year and a President of the Year are chosen in each Division, and there are five national divisions based the size of the clubs’ memberships. The Clubs of the Year are determined by the total score of their entries in the eight categories.

AAF Greenville placed in five categories as well as winning the National Club of the Year award for Division IV:

  • Club Operations – 1st place
  • Government Relations – 1st place
  • Diversity – 2nd place
  • Advertising Education – 2nd place
  • Membership – 3rd place

AAF Greenville President Whitney Hanna was a featured panelist for the “How’d they do that?” session at the conference, which included the 2014 President of the Year winners from each division.

“Our greatest measurement of success this year was increasing our membership by 37 percent since our annual Kickoff event in September of 2013. This year, our leadership team and volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure our members had quality programs and that our club had a positive impact on our community. I am so proud to see their hard work being recognized with this award,” said Hanna.
