AAF of The Midlands Announces 2009 ADDY® Awards Gala

COLUMBIA, SC – February 18, 2009 – The American Advertising Federation (AAF) of The Midlands has just announced that the 2009 ADDY® Awards Gala will be held Saturday, March 14 at 300 Senate at the Canal in downtown Columbia. Festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The mission of the ADDY Awards is to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising. The awards, which are open to all advertising professionals and students, were due in early January. On March 14, more than 100 ADDY Awards will be presented to members of our local advertising industry for their talents.

The ADDY competition in Columbia is the first of a three-tiered national competition. Winners at the local level can proceed to the district-level competition, and if successful there, can proceed to compete for a National ADDY Award.

Advance ticket prices are $55 for AAF of The Midlands members, $65 for non-members, and $25 for students and can be purchased online by March 4. Tickets will also be available at the door for $75. Reserved tables are available for groups of eight with advanced payment.
