Acumen focuses on core business

Acumen IT, a South Carolina company established in 1999, has grown to be one of the top technology companies in the state. The company recently sold its ERP division to Kopis, in a move to focus on its core strengths – managed technical services, IT security and business intelligence. Concentrating on larger scale IT projects, Acumen provides world class security and data services.
“We have been working closely with Kopis to purchase our ERP division. I am pleased to see that it is now in their capable hands,” said Acumen’s CEO David Pence, “Managed IT Services has always been a core strength of ours, however, we have seen tremendous growth in the IT security sector.” In focusing on the IT security sector, Acumen has achieved Platinum Partner status for Fortinet Security solutions, a security suite servicing 70% of the top 100 bands in several sectors and all top internet providers, Acumen IT is the only Platinum Partner in the Carolina’s and Tennessee.
