Advanced Disposal informs county of residential curbside waste & recycling schedule changes

March 3, 2017

Advanced Disposal Services Inc. has announced upcoming schedule changes to residential curbside service. Advanced Disposal’s residential waste and recycling curbside service customers may be affected by schedule changes starting on March 13.

Residents affected will be receiving a mailed information card during the week of March 6. The information card will indicate the weekly garbage collection day and which week the biweekly recycling collection will occur. Customers not receiving a mailed information card will not experience a change.

This schedule change will provide greater weekly coverage to improve efficiencies of pickup service, provide for future growth in service areas and will ensure the safety of company employees and the community.

For notifications and information about residential service, unincorporated county residents are encouraged to download the Lexington County SC Solid Waste app, available for iPhone and Android users for free, and enable notifications, or visit the County of Lexington website www.Lex-co.sc.gov/solidwaste and click on the Solid Waste App link to enter the unincorporated residential address.

The Solid Waste app will provide residents in unincorporated areas with curbside collection schedules, pick-up day reminders, emergency notification, holiday schedule changes, and solid waste & recycling event notification. All Lexington County residents will be able to use the Waste Wizard to determine how to recycle or dispose of material.
