Allison Sullivan leads advocacy group for injured workers

November 24, 2017

COLUMBIA, SC – Allison Sullivan, a partner with Bluestein Attorneys, is the new president of Injured Workers Advocates, a nonprofit association of attorneys dedicated to advancing the interests of injured workers in South Carolina.

She was installed as president at the group’s annual conference on Nov. 18.

Injured Workers’ Advocates works to protect and advance the rights and legal remedies for South Carolina workers who are victims of occupational injury or disease. The group does this through education, litigation, and communicating with others concerning goals and issues important to the protection of workers’ rights in the state.

Marti Bluestein, co-founder of Bluestein Attorneys, is a past president of the organization.

“I am honored and excited to be elected president of Injured Workers Advocates,” Sullivan said. “As a longstanding member of the organization and its Executive Committee, I look forward to the opportunity to lead this well-respected group and continue our efforts to make the lives of injured workers and their families better.”

Sullivan, whose practice at Bluestein includes workers’ compensation, succeeded Matt Jackson of North Charleston as president of the group.
