Ameris Bank announces appointment of Laurens C. Nicholson to South Carolina Community Board of Directors

Ameris Bank Regional President Richard Sturm is excited to announce the recent appointment of Laurens C. Nicholson to the Ameris Bank – South Carolina Community Board of Directors.  In making the announcement, Sturm stated, “I am pleased to welcome Laurens to our Board.  He understands our commitment, because like Ameris Bank, Laurens is committed to community, has solid business experience and has a great interest in economic development in South Carolina.”

Nicholson has more than 22 years of experience in commercial real estate investment and currently serves as a principal commercial broker at Windsor Aughtry Company in Greenville.  He specializes in real estate investment with an emphasis in the industrial and office sectors. Previously, Nicholson served as senior vice president of Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate Services.

A Greenville native, Nicholson graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Nicholson serves on the faculty of the CCIM Institute where he is an instructor teaching courses on financial analysis for commercial investment real estate. He also serves as a board member of the South Carolina CCIM Chapter.  Additionally, Nicholson is active on the Carolinas Chapter for Society of Industrial and Office Realtors board.

Nicholson resides in Greenville and enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons.
